A mid afternoon call

from you asking me if I had lunch, if all is well with the little one inspite of your neck deep work .You have been coming home wickedly late, all you do after coming home is have dinner and crash.I couldnt help but shed a tear or two when you called.

How do you feel

when you realise that you went to the bank, did the grocery,visited a friend , all with only one ear ring?And to top it all, no one even hinted..hmmphhh&&%%#*%

dinner done and and so is rest of the kitchen work

the little one is asleep

I look at the clock and its only 9.30 pm

I do a little victory dance

I call out for you

you are not to be seen

head to toe covered in comforter, you are deep asleep and snoring!

There is something

about rolling over to the bed space of your spouse after the spouse gets out of the bed,soak in the warmth, feel your eyes just give away to sleep while inhaling the smell so specific to the spouse.

What a year 2010 has been

Found out I was pregnant ( yay)

Brand new mommy to a baby girl ( the best ever)

Totally pampered by the husband ( thats something ain't it?)

Parents visit ( complete rest for me)

In laws to visit ( sounds good)

Crazy shopping for the little one ( do I need to say anything about shopping?)

Starting the day with a glass of whole milk loaded with almonds and pista and elaichi

Sumptuous breakfast of idlis and dosas and chappathis

A soup or juice inbetween

Sometimes buttermilk

Piping hot lunch served right at my place

Accompaniments of snacks from India

Oh did I miss the fruits?

Again fresh hot dinner at the family dining table

ending it all with a warm glass of milk ...

I think am going to burst anytime soon.

Yay! It feels just so nice to say that I can

wake up anytime and not bother about cooking a meal

eat just my favourite food

sit and talk on and on about my relatives

get upto date news about friends and family back in India

still sleep on appa's lap and ask amma to pat me to sleep

oops..did I already give it away?Appa, amma will be here tomorrow..cant wait for the fun, food , goodies and all the vetti talk.

Bulb moment

Tv on, and am busy cooking in the kitchen.The mobile phone rings and I rush to pick it up amidst the roti dough in hands..

only to realise that the ringtone sound was from the tv..

what a bulb moment!

What would be the reaction when you think you spotted a dollar bill on the walkpath amidst the grass, get super excited and scream" hey, I found a dollar, thats mine"..and as you pick it up in your hands, you see its just a piece of trash?

1.You give a sheepish smile?

2.You are thoroughly embarassed, and say oh it happens to everyone

3.You turn around to see how many people are looking at you?

4.You call names at the unknown person who trashed the pathway?
